Bethlehem University and Al Mashreq Insurance Company Sign " Dinamo Al Mashreq" Program MoU to Enhance Student Opportunities and Prepare Them for the Job Market

Bethlehem —Dr. Fadi Qattan, Executive Vice President of Bethlehem University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the "Dinamo Al Mashreq" program with Mr. Nihad Assad, General Manager of Al Mashreq Insurance Company to support university students and equip them with practical skills aligned with the needs of the job market, enhance their adaptability to the fast-changing economic and political situations.

During the meeting, Dr. Qattan emphasized the university's commitment to building effective partnerships with private sector institutions, considering them a fundamental pillar in developing students' capacities and bridging the gap between academic education and labor market demands. He restated the university's ongoing dedication to empowering students with analytical tools and a deep understanding of the work environment, especially in light of the existing political and economic challenges.

On his part, Mr. Ayoub Zurub, CEO of Al Mashreq Insurance, stated that the "Dinamo Al Mashreq" program reflects the company's dedication to supporting Palestinian youth, especially given the difficult circumstances facing the country. He declared the company's belief that investing in youth is an investment in the nation's future and that providing them with opportunities and support will enable them to lead positive changes in the community.

Mr. Assad further highlighted that the insurance sector is one of the key pillars of the national economy, which necessitates raising awareness among students and graduates about its role and operational mechanisms. He noted that helping students understand the nature of insurance services contributes to preparing professional capable youth of meeting the needs of individuals and institutions alike, thus playing a part in achieving sustainable development. He also added that one of the primary goals of the program is to enhance employment opportunities and reduce unemployment rates among Palestinian youth.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Qattan proposed organizing a series of workshops and interactive sessions for university students in collaboration with Al Mashreq Insurance Company. These sessions would focus on introducing the various services of the insurance sector and clarifying how different academic disciplines—particularly accounting and business administration—play integral roles within it. This initiative aims to provide students with direct, hands-on insights into the industry, enhancing their professional readiness for the job market post-graduation.

It is worth noting that the "Dinamo Al Mashreq" program is designed to prepare Palestinian youth for integration into the labor market by developing their life and professional skills.
