Graduation of the First Cohort of “Dinamo Al Mashreq” Program New Hope for a Bright Generation of Youth

In a pioneering step towards leadership and the empowerment of Palestinian youth, Al Mashreq Insurance and Birzeit University celebrated the graduation of the first cohort of students enrolled in the “Dinamo Al Mashreq” program. The event was attended by Dr. Tareq Sadeq, Ms. Dhauhok Al Dawoodi, and Ms. Kholoud Barbar as representatives of Birzeit University, along with Mr. Nihad Assad, General Manager of Al Mashreq Insurance, executive team, and staff.

The “Dinamo Al Mashreq” program is the first of its kind—a specialized entrepreneurial training initiative in the field of insurance launched by Al Mashreq Insurance to bridge the gap between academic education and practical skills. It aims to equip a new generation of young professionals with the tools to create meaningful change in their communities, with a particular focus on the rapidly evolving insurance sector.

Through the program, students gain hands-on experience and vital skills especially in key areas such as marketing and direct sales reflecting the shift toward digitalization, innovation, and the modern demands of the job market.

Mr. Ayoub Zurub, CEO of Al Mashreq Insurance, emphasized his strong belief in the critical role of youth as the foundation of society. He stated, “Through the Dinamo Al Mashreq program, we are not only providing training, but we are also co-creating a brighter future with our youth. We are investing in their creativity and opening doors for them to thrive in today’s job market.”

Mr. Assad also expressed pride in the graduating students, saying, “We are proud of our 13 graduates and look forward to welcoming some of them into our company’s workforce. With Dinamo Al Mashreq, we aspire to increase employment opportunities especially in light of the current economic challenges thereby reducing youth unemployment and contributing to sustainable development in our society.”

He also praised the fruitful cooperation with Birzeit University’s administration and extended his gratitude to the Al Mashreq Insurance team for their dedication and commitment to mentoring and supporting the students throughout the program.

Ms. Al Dawoodi highlighted the significance of this partnership, stating, “Our strategic collaboration with Al Mashreq Insurance spans years. This program reflects Birzeit University’s vision of strengthening the relationship between academia and the private sector in ways that benefit students and provide them with real opportunities to excel and innovate.”

The graduation of this first cohort stands as a successful model of synergy between academia and the private sector and underscores Al Mashreq Insurance’s leading role in supporting the local community, especially youth through strategic initiatives that prioritize professional empowerment at their core.
