As part of its efforts to enhance its community initiatives and their sustainable impact on Palestinian society, Al Mashreq Insurance’s General Manager, Mr. Nihad Assad, welcomed the National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Palestine, Ms. Ghada Harzallah and a distinguished delegation at Al Mashreq headquarters to renew the sponsorship of the house that Al Mashreq Insurance supports in the village. For the third year, the company sponsors the expenses of a home for five children and their caregiver, their foster mother, covering their needs out of belief in the noble mission of the village.
The CEO of the company, Mr. Ayoub Zurub, expressed his happiness, stating, “It is wonderful that Al Mashreq Insurance is a bright part of the lives of children without family support. We strive for this initiative to be a true investment in their future, enabling them to bring about positive change and be active members of their community.”
Assad emphasized the importance of providing healthcare, education, and psychological support to the children, adding, “This partnership, which has been ongoing for three years, aligns with the company's vision of balancing commercial objectives with corporate social responsibility. It plays a vital role in improving the lives of less fortunate children, providing them with opportunities for growth and development, thereby contributing to building a sustainable community based on values and solidarity.”
Harzallah thanked Al Mashreq for their hospitality and generosity, encouraging the partnership to remain long-term and expand, as companies like Al Mashreq Insurance are the cornerstone of SOS Children’s Villages' challenging humanitarian mission in these circumstances. She pointed out that SOS Children’s Villages is proud to have a strategic, giving partner like Al Mashreq Insurance.
Assad briefed the attendees on Al Mashreq Insurance's meaningful and sustainable community initiatives, which the company continually supports. He emphasized that caring for children, women, and youth sectors is a top priority in the company's community development strategy.
Harzallah discussed the various programs managed by SOS Children’s Villages, such as family care, family strengthening, education, youth programs, and more. She highlighted the difficult living, psychological, and economic conditions that complicate the lives of children, whose simplest rights include living a decent life within a healthy and loving family environment.
